A Long Week and Harry Barker

It’s been an interesting week over here—and by interesting, I mean boring. Even though it’s been a short work-week it’s been busy and has felt long. I’ve been totally wiped out, thank goodness for a helpful husband and easy dinners consisting of leftovers and tuna melts. And Roseanne. I wouldn’t have made it through this week without Roseanne. One disappointment has been that it’s not on Netflix, so I’ve had to load up our TiVo with out-of-order episodes on We and TV Land. Luckily my husband is a fan, too, so he doesn’t mind.

It finally feels like winter here on the east coast; the temperature dropped this weekend and has stayed low which makes doing anything besides drinking copious amounts of tea while snuggled under a pile of blankets with Casey seem ridiculous.

I’ve been obsessed with Dunkin Donuts French toast bagels with cinnamon cream cheese spread recently. In the interest of saving money and calories I’ve been trying to stay away from the DND drive-thru on my way to work in the mornings, but today’s temperatures and a headache kept me in bed longer than usual and the promise of deliciousness paired with convenience was no match for my will power. Sometimes a girl just needs a sweet treat and a hot cocoa.

One of the simple pleasures in life is arriving home to find a package you've been expecting was delivered. After months of receiving numerous dog subscription boxes, Casey expects that every delivery we get is for him. Yesterday he lucked out, because it was-- sort of.

{I apologize for the dark iPhone photo, we really need to improve the lighting situation in our living room}
I discovered the company Harry Barker as I perused the Internet a few weeks ago. Known for their luxurious dog beds, some items are a bit pricey, but the great quality and eco-friendly materials are worth it. I had been looking for a pretty dog treat container for a co-worker for months now, and when I saw their gorgeous toile collection in blue for just $10 I knew I had to order it.

My co-worker absolutely loves it! Upon closer inspection we realized that the characters in the pattern are all animals, it's really too sweet.

Since it's practically irresponsible to place any order without first checking the sale section of a website, I ended up purchasing this simple, cute bowl set for Casey to use while he's at work with me.

I got two of the small bowls for $11.99 each-- reduced from $22, I'd say that's not a bad deal! I'm impressed with the sturdiness and quality of these heavy-weight porcelain bowls, and Casey seems to approve as well because he chowed down as soon as I placed his new food dish on the floor.

As a fun gift, Harry Barker enclosed a "No. 2 Waste Bag Dispenser," an item which no pet parent can ever have too many of as far as I'm concerned. Mama loves a surprise gift-with-purchase, and this cutie retails for $8!

Although Casey doesn't really need a bed right now, I'd love to splurge on one of their bed inserts and covers if he did:

A few other items I'm currently coveting...

{via 1//2//3//4}
1//The Chelsea Collar collection is a stylish way to avoid noisy tags
2//I love the clean, modern design of the Agra Leash and Collar collections
3//This adorable Parisian Toile Gift Tote would be the perfect gift for any dog lover, as would the
4//Canines for Veterans Gift Bucket, a portion of the proceeds of which goes to Canines for Veterans, an organization dedicated to rescuing shelter dogs and teaching military inmates how to train them to become service dogs for wounded Veterans

It's clear that Harry Barker has a commitment to quality, their customers {both canine and human}, as well as the community and the environment. I'll definitely be making future purchases!

Harry Barker has not compensated me in any way for this post, I simply wanted to share a great experience I had with the company.

I don't think I have ever heard of them before. I love those treat packaging things - and they seem to have lots of cute stuff. On another note - I HATE when things aren't on Netflix! it sucks.

I had never heard of that company before, so thanks for sharing! I will def have to check it out!! How fun that Casey gets to go to work with you. I would be afraid if Abby came to work with me she would totally disrupt everyone, and then eat all of their lunches...ha!
